Business Formation and Support for Small Business and Entrepreneurs
(Small Business Development Center)

Encourage venture capital funding of 15 “gazelle” small businesses.

Support 1000 small businesses with global commerce assistance.

Assist in the expansion of 800 existing companies.

Assist 200 Virginia Department of Transportation Business Opportunity and Workforce Development Center (VDOT-BOWD) business clients.

Provide counseling to 3,000 small businesses, train 15,000 business owners/executives and provide information assistance to 40,000 existing and prospective business owners that result in the retention of 2,000 jobs and the creation of 1,250 new jobs.

Stimulate $35 million in new capital investment.

Stimulate $35 million in new sales revenue.
