Strategic Priority 5 | Infrastructure

The lack of congestion and ease of travel within the Richmond region is one of our many attractive qualities. With the growth that our region has experienced in the past five years, it is necessary to ensure that our infrastructure can support current and future development and expansion. The Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc. and Greater Richmond Chamber will coordinate with the Chamber’s Regional Transportation Advocacy Board (RTAB), the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission (RRPDC) and local government partners to assess the strengths and needs for infrastructure investment.

Goal

Progress in the pressing area of infrastructure investment required to retain and grow the regional business base.

Programs

Work with local government and the business community to assess needs and priorities pertaining to transportation, water and sewer and related infrastructure requirements.

Conduct infrastructure studies and prepare reports for various government agencies, elected officials, business leaders and the community.

The Greater Richmond Chamber, through its Regional Transportation Advocacy Board (RTAB), Government Affairs Committee and local business councils will advocate for required improvements and funding.
